toothless

It is not a defect, okay? My teeth are just overlapping with each other and make some gap in between and make me look toothless!

I don't exactly remember when all of this happened. But as far as I remember, my schoolmates used to make fun of me out of it. I'd got a lot of nicknames during high school. Shorty was one of them, obviously.

You know, the perk of having idiot friends hahaha. I wasn't mad, of course. Because we practiced "give and take", so it meant I gave them a lot of nicknames too! Hahaha. So that's how we rolled, that's how we teased each other. High school was the best, wasn't it?

I'm in quite a dilemma. To wear braces or not? To correct this alignment or not?

I whatsapp-ed Shushy this picture and she said, "PM me the gap in the scale of hectare."

This joke is new. Hectare is a new joke on me.

She just expanded her jokes hahaha. Shushy and her lame jokes, forever. But she advised me not to undergo any ortho treatment. She wants me the way I am. And she's scared of the after-effect of braces to me, since she wears one. Her face turns oval now. Not really oval, it's more like oblong now. But she's still pretty to me, even her face would turn triangle!

I heard/read about this quite a lot that wearing braces would slightly change your face shape. I mean in a better way. Your face would be more oriented. Isn't that a good thing? But thing turns differently to Shushy.

And the other friends (diploma coursemate) asked me to keep it too, just because they want me the way I am and overlapping teeth are some kind of having high sentimental value or something like that, according to what they said. Hahaha.

And now my focus has diverted from my teeth to these people's sweet talks.

"Women"

Forget my teeth, I'd rather be toothless then.

Nynaa's Wedding

One more Dolls is married.

Nynaa's married at the age of 24. She's blessed.

I am so excited.. From far.

It's such a good feeling to actually end a long relationship with marriage. It's wonderful. Plus Nynaa knows her husband for years long.

And it's so much more wonderful that everybody gathered to celebrate the bride and the groom, obviously without me. Hehe. I'm okay here. I'm okay here.. Well, I'm not okay.

I really wanna be there on my bff's marriage. Taking pictures, sharing laugh and stupid jokes, tear up for getting old and basically, just laugh.

So here's my speech, virtually from far..

Congratulations Nynaa and husband for your marriage. I wish you an endless happiness and blessing. May the love keeps growing and enjoy every seconds of your life. Be the best woman to your husband and mom to your future kids. And I.. Can't wait for Nynaa's juniors.

(Mommy Qissy is gonna be the sweetest aunt)

Qistina and Fairil

It happened to me to have a new boyfriend. Call him Fairil.

Haha. Okay, don't panic.

That only happened in a novel written by my lovely friend, Eeza.

A lil bit about Eeza, she's my friend at UiTM and now doing her degree at UiTM Shah Alam, major in Civil Engineering (Dean List's student - almost all semesters - cooool isn't it?)

I can recall those moments when she was working on this novel. I knew Eeza through Shushy where Eeza was Shushy's housemate cum classmate and we can actually get along well. During my diploma years, I went to their house really often and made it my second house.

Eeza is a morning person, unlike Shushy and I. And her favourite place was of course her study desk, the place where the laptop was on all the times and the books got revised.

So one day, when I got to their house, they told me that Eeza was working on her new project and using my name as the main character. Of course, I was proud haha but Eeza won't let anyone read it until everything was done.

I was known for being impatient, and I was so eager to read it.

Guess what, it has been published now!

Congratulations Eeza for your first baby! Aaaah, it was really wonderful to witness such happy moments. It's like counting days for a birth of a baby, where you followed the progress of every stages, you were there through ups and downs, seeing how painful the processes were and how excited it was to finally end it. It was amazing.

And what's more amazing is..

So happy and proud of Eeza. And she is now working for the second baby. Way to go girl. :)

Alexandria

5 days before Wani and Kiena went back to Malaysia for good, they said, "Alex jom esok?"

Everybody was like, "Jom"

Alexandria and Zagazig is 4 hours road journey. We stayed 2 nights there, so Lin and I had to skip 2 classes. Hehehe but I did it willingly. Lecturer actually recognized me and asked, "Were you absent last week?", I replied, "Yeahh, sorry (smiled very very wide).

It was my very last outing with Wani and Kiena. Kiena suddenly acted like a tourist and captured every moments throughout the journey and Wani started to buy almost everything in Alex to bring them back to Malaysia as souvenirs. This was exactly like what we planned to do during our final year in Egypt. Little did that I knew, last year was their final year. T_T

Our moments were filled with laughs and tears. One minute when we're really happy and teasing each other, and the other minutes we shed tears thinking how much we're going to miss each other.

I'll never forget this. The moment when we're having a lunch in a cafe in Alex, I said, "I'm so sad".

Wani said, "Me too".
I said, "Are you guys sure with the decision?"

Kiena said, "Only Allah knows how I feel. I wanna stay in Egypt. But things are getting harder."

I started to cry, and continued, "Honestly, I don't mind if everyone in our class is going back, but not you and Kiena. I'd rather stay with just you guys".

Silence.

Everybody cried.

Breathe in, breathe out. We continued eating.

Deep inside my heart, I actually agreed with their decision. Going back to Malaysia was the most brilliant decision for them. And I'm really happy. It's just that, I'm so gonna miss you.

goodbye my loves

Something big had happened to me last year. I've lost my best friends (such a dramatic writer, you're not losing them forever). Wani and Kiena are no longer studying in Egypt. They've gotten a place in one of private colleges in Malaysia but still doing pharmacy.

Wani tried to hide the news from me at first while everybody knew it except me. Cause she really didn't want me to cry. Of course, I didn't cry (I hid it so so well and acted silly in front of them all the time) but went to class with huge eye bags lol. Once she told me about that, and she shed some tears, I thought "Oh noo, is it for real?". And when we lepak at her room, I pull out the class schedule that she pasted on the wall, and crumpled it. She didn't give any response but laughed, so I thought, "Oh noooo this might be real".

It was quite long period of me being so emotional and just by thinking about it, my tears run heavily. I liked to tease Wani by singing some goodbye songs, of course the fragile one like her would cry and cry and cry. And my heart cried out soooo loud.

I always asked her, "Are you really going to leave me?"

"And who am I going to be friend with?

"Who would stay and study with me during final exams anymore?"

"Who would bla bla bla"

Of course, she cried.

But telling me, "Don't worry, Allah sends us here so that we can be friends. We are still going to be pharmacist, but our journeys are different. My fate is there (Malaysia)"

Upon her departure, I cried so so hard, we hugged each other as if we're not going to meet each other anymore and got some Egyptian staring at us, like, what the heck are those Malaysians doing? Hahaha.

I know it was such a good opportunity for Wani and Kiena to go back and doing their degree there. With few problems in Egypt and embassy some more. And Wani and Kiena just made a right choice. I'm happy for them and still, losing them is really really miserable.

Wani is one of my friends who would stay with you through thin and thick. When I didn't do well in exams, when I had a money problem ( she lend me 500LE just for shopping hahaha ), when Baby J was down, when I was having period cramps, she comforted me all the times. And she's still being someone who I can be silly with.

I really miss her ordering me around to cook for her. Sharing stories with me. Nagging me for waking up late for Subuh. Didn't allow me to use my own laptop cause she wanted to use it. Haha.

I will be okay here without them and I am. But still, those empty feelings.. It sometimes makes me wanna cry..

 Made them a card

Bye bye..

Spring yaww

So it's a spring season in some other countries too, since my friends who study abroad got to upload their pictures behind the tulips everyday and got me so jealous - cause there's no tulips here I want to capture a picture with!

I was so eager to see how spring here looked like and we went to a park last week.

Egypt's first impression of spring wasn't that bad. It was rare since there's no way in the whole world you will find a flower wholly covered by dust! Hahaha. Well, it's true.

Since the park is in Cairo, so I invited Aiman (Ameerul's brother) to come and joined us. Aiman, who knows so much about Kakqis and how she loves camera, like she cannot go anywhere without a camera and how obsessed Kakqis is towards camera, so Aiman brought his DSLR.

The moment when Aiman took out his camera, I said, "Wow you bring your camera?"

Aiman replied, "Eleh, buat tanya pulakk!"

Hahaha.

Am I that annoying that people will get that impression on me? Hehe.

Few pictures..

Okay, it went like this, when few pharmacy students who study about plants, flowers, trees and how they grow, how important they are in producing drugs, how poisonous they are, how they can be cultivated and collected, we were sort of excited seeing these plants that we knew!

So we went like "Ohh this is Karkadeh!" or "Wowww, Cammomile, look at its ray floret and disc floret". Sigh, it was more like a Pharmacognosy class trip. Haha.

It was fun. I love it how we were altogether enjoying the good scenery of the park, the calmness that made me forgot about all the continuous exams, and beautiful-hearted friends with me, and the camera that was following me! Haha. No, kidding.

But I like it when my friends were so comfortable with Aiman, and how they can get along so well. We laughed a lot.

And went back to Zagazig with few stressed acnes, hehehe.

Pavlova story

I know I can make a good cook. See? They missed my pavlova and I know they're using me. Right, that's how we keep Dolls going. They are using me for their own good. I mean, they asked me to cook for them, they asked me to buy things online for them, they're borrowing my clothes and never returned them back.

Such annoying friends God sends me.

And vice versa. I mean, this is something like karma but we do it willingly. I asked them to drive all the way from Shah Alam to Gombak just to fetch me to go shopping and send me back after that. I asked them to wash my hair, I ransacked Shushy's cupboard to find my birthday gift that she hid to surprise me but I was just impatient and I got Shushy yelled at me.

And share. We shared contact lenses case with our contact lenses inside (which can bring us to death actually haha). Everything yours are mine and vice versa. Hahaha.

O Allah, thank you for sending them to me. Even though they give me so much troubles. :')

Shushy and my home made pavlova.

Dear Newlyweds,

Dear Newlyweds,

I'm writing this to you with the tears of jealousy. No. Kidding. *shed tears still haha. You know what, we had these crazy plans 5 years ago, where I wanted to be on your wedding day, being one of your bridesmaids, staying up all night long spending your very last night as a single lady together, just talking talking and talking to each other while doing henna, arguing with the wedding planner about the pelamin decoration and making air sirap to the guests.

And you were doing that without me. 5 years' plan was such a waste.

My best friend got married to her 5 years' boyfriend. *standing on the chair, clap hands*

And why did you just need to get married when I was in Egypt btw?

I tried to reach you early on the morning before the wedding started, but I understand that since you're married now, cellphone is no longer your main priority, yes still, but after you husband's cup of tea. And I called Shushy just to reach you but no answers. So, let's just blame Shushy for this.

Anyways, long way to go. A starting to a new life, marriage life, challenging life, work-husband-cook-laundry life. I don't know how you are going to do these, but I know you can. Just, you know, try to not mumbling too often. Haha.

Selamat pengantin baru. Allah's with you, Insyaallah.

22nd birthday

What group is 22 years old person fall into? Adult?

Right. I'm an adult now, officially. Should behave nicely. Should know how to cook. Should know how to do households perfectly. Shouldn't jump on the the bed anymore.

And should make more serious face in the picture.

But we're just refused to grow up!

Iffni said, "Let's take some pictures of me feeding you your birthday cake, "tag" Tawakkal people on Facebook". Ah, so rindu mann!

But our pictures turned out annoying.

So okay, it was 6 pm in Egypt (12 am in Malaysia, so they sang me birthday song out loud by the roadside. I was like, "Come on, stop it, shut up, you guys are disgusting. Embarrassing".

Birthday song, 22 years old. Euw. And those 5 lovely people treated me a slice of chocolate cake. Thank youuuu. :)

Err, yes. Just one slice. But, really, I don't mind. But maybe with a pair of Charles&Keith shoes, by any chance, guys? Okay bye.

Orientation programme

I needed to go to Pantai Morib for an orientation programme. A week of an orientation programme. A week.

I first thought that it was the long one. I mean, 1 week there, what we're really going to do? I knew I would faced some sleepless night, tight packed schedule, I knew no one there except Iffni and countless talk that I needed to listen to. Normal perception of orientation so far.

But seriously, this one's different. My first super cool orientation programme ever. God, I'm pathetic. I only found the cool one after 22 years. Haha.

300+ participants. But it's really okay. Everyone's okay. The facilitators were really great. And the hotel room was really okay. Haha.

But we turned it to be this bad. Sorry, this was happened when I tried to be punctual.

One thing that they emphasized, it's about a relationship between us. They said, ukhuwah is very important, cause apparently we have nobody there. Just us students. We're like a family there. Oh God, I've found my mom, hello Iffni Suraya. :)

Truth be told, I heard a lot of people saying on how hard it is to survive in Egypt. Patient is a key.

*shed tears*

Well, this is what I choose. Everytime I ask Ameerul about my decision of going there, he'll say, believe in your heart. You are chasing your dream.

Yes, I am so all I've ever needed now is to be strong.

At least I have Iffni with me.

Iffni's funny. One time when we were listening to a talk about the daily life/routine in Egypt, they said, Egypt has this one animal called lamar. I'm not sure what lamar is. Camel maybe. Donkey maybe. So I whispered to her, "Khloe and Lamar" maybe.

-________-

We sat beside each other in almost all talks. She's so funny and always came out with crazy jokes so I couldn't help giggling then. Please, don't do this in our class soon. Hahaha.

Seriously, I need to grow up. :p

Raya with Dolls

I'm done with HALF of the preparation of going to Egypt. From the small thing like buying the stationary and toiletries to open a new bank account. Thank God. But still, need to settle up few things more.

And raya must go on.

Dolls time. It was really fun cause we're actually hadn't meet each other for so long. So basic question was, "So what's up now?" or "Psst any new gossips?". God, I missed them. So we are planning for some holiday getaway or gathering before I fly off to Egypt. That's too mainstream. And after this raya, everybody will be so busy with their own life, work and all, including me.

(I have a week of orientation programme next week! Godd, I know how boring that would be. Orientation is never can be compatible with me.)

See you next raya ladies, insyaallah, if I come back here. Or maybe next 5 years. *cries a river.
